Women’s Ministry

The ARP Women’s Ministries is an organization which encourages and equips the community of ARP women to minister together for God’s glory and purpose.

All women who are members of the Greenville ARP Church are members of Greenville Women’s Ministries. The purpose of our Women’s Ministries is to provide women opportunities for spiritual growth through Bible study and creative fellowship. Building on this foundation we seek to serve in the church and community with a Christ like love. See also the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Denomination Site for more information regarding Women’s Ministries within our denomination.

Women’s Circles

We have five circles, small groups of ladies, which meet monthly to study the Bible, pray together, and enjoy a time of fellowship. Most circles meet on the second Tuesday of the month (unless otherwise noted), but at different times and at various locations.

  • Circle # 1 – 6:30 p.m. – meets in homes.
  • Circle # 2 – 10:00 a.m. – meets the second MONDAY in homes.
  • Circle # 4 – 9:15 a.m. –meets in the Ladies’ Parlor at the Church, and a nursery is provided.
  • Circle # 5 – 10:15 a.m. – meets in the Fellowship Hall at the Church.
  • Circle # 6 – 6:00 p.m. – meets in the Fellowship Hall at the Church, and members take turns preparing supper.

All Circles are using View From The Top, Studies in the Life of Joseph by Wallace Tinsley, Jr. as a guide in the study of the life of Joseph from the book of Genesis.

If you are unable to be in a circle at this time, you can still participate in service projects or serve on committees. Some of the opportunities to serve are: our bag lunch program, meals on wheels, teaching, helping with hospitality and special events in our church.

Women’s Prayer Groups

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

Greenville ARP Women’s Ministry sponsors a prayer chain, women who are ready to pray regarding church concerns or member’s concerns. If you would like to be a part of the prayer chain or you would like for this group to pray about your concerns, please let us know. We have both a telephone prayer chain and an e-mail version. Just let us know how you would like to receive the prayer requests if you would like to participate in this ministry.

Women’s Bible Study

Women meet on Thursday from 9:30-11:30 am in the Church Parlor. This spring they will be studying, God’s Love Alive in You, a study on 1, 2, 3 John, James and Philemon (The New Inductive Study Series) by Kay Arthur and David Lawson. All women are invited. Child care is provided.
