Adult Sunday School Classes

The Beckham Bible Class

The Beckham Bible Class is an adult class of mostly Baby Boomers. The class uses the International Sunday School Lesson the majority of the time. The class is led by class members with discussion, and has been a part of the Church for over thirty years.

The Berean Class

The Berean Class welcomes everyone. Our Sunday School lessons currently follow the International Sunday School Series and are led by one of the many teachers in our class. We share our prayer concerns and enjoy fellowship outside the church at class fellowship events. We include couples, singles, people with children and without, from late 30’s to early 50’s. Our classroom is on the top floor of the church activities building.

The Ellis Class

The Ellis Class is a place to laugh, wrestle, and care. This is a group of thirty and forty somethings who share each other’s joys and struggles. Members deepen their faith by wrestling with difficult topics and turning to Scripture for guidance from the Holy Spirit. They study books by gifted Christian writers and the ARP Adult Quarterly’s commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson. Special fellowship events tie us together so we can serve God as one body.

The Fellowship Class

The Fellowship Class is a Bible-centered, Spirit-led group of adults who gather to study the Word, fellowship with each other, discuss Biblical principles as they apply to our daily lives, share our hurts, frustrations, and concerns, as well as our joys and praises with fellow Christians. Classes typically include prayer and study time and are led by class members. The class uses the Adult Quarterly as a guide for study of the International Sunday School Lessons. Any individual, single or married, is welcome and encouraged to join us.

The Gaston Class

Gaston Class

The Gaston Class is a group of men and women in their twenties and thirties consisting of singles, couples, those with children and those without. Teachers teach through various books of the Bible and a variety of topics. The class enjoys many fellowship events including cookouts, bowling, eating out, and game nights. Our class meets upstairs in Education Building.     The Gaston Class now has a page on Facebook.     Check it out here!

The Long-Grier Class

The Long-Grier Bible Class was started back in 1946 as the Bob Harris Bible Class. After Bob Harris’ death it was changed to the Homemakers Class - made up of young homemakers. As the years passed, and as the new church here on Cleveland Street was built, it was known as the Moffatt Long class, later known as the “Senior Saints” and now known as the Long-Grier Class. We are all senior citizens who are still growing with the help of some excellent Bible teachers - two or three of our very own. We welcome anyone who would like to know Jesus Christ better to join our class. We meet in the parlor and study the International Sunday School Curriculum. Join us for solid teaching and meaningful fellowship.

The Thello Class

The Thello Class is primarily a group of past middle-aged couples (though we welcome singles.) Several members take turns teaching from the International Sunday School Lesson, primarily, but the class is always open to other suggestions for study. The Thello Class has supported a foster family for years, and tries to meet their needs all year long. They also support other causes of the ARP Church.
