Wales Spaghetti Fundraiser May 18

Join us Sunday, May 18, at 12:05 in the Fellowship Hall for the Annual Wales Spaghetti Fundraiser. The cost is $10 a plate and all proceeds go to help the team go to Wales. Our goal is to raise $1500 through this and donations. This means that we will need a minimm of 200 people to cover the cost and raise the money. Come enjoy the fellowship, homemade spaghetti and desserts! Please RSVP to the church office by e-mail or phone call to 233-6309 by Friday, May 16, if you plan to attend. You can even get a plate to go!

2008 Bonclarken Music Conference

Save the dates of July 13 - 18, 2008 for the Bonclarken Music Conference. Our own Sabrina and Felicia will be accompanists. Music Conference is a great week of music, fellowship and fun. The deadline for registering is May 4. The cost is between $175 and $225 (depending on age) for the entire conference. Anyone interested should pick up a medical form from Miranda.

SHARP Is Filling Up Fast

SHARP registration has begun and it is filling up fast!

SHARP is a Monday and Wednesday program that lasts for 8 weeks during the summer. It begins on June 9 and continues each Monday and Wednesday for eight weeks except for the week of Vacation Bible School.

If you are a church member and plan to take advantage of a great summer camp for children, please get your registration in as soon as possible before all of the spots are gone! Each week we will have a different theme. The cost is $15 per day. Look for more information in your mailbox.

If you know of someone who would like to be added to the SHARP mailing list, please let Miranda know.

Also, anyone interested in teaching at SHARP this summer should let Miranda know as soon as possible.

Children’s Choirs

Cherub Choir – K4 through 1st grade — will practice Sunday mornings from 9:45 until 10:00 am. Please strongly encourage your child to participate in this wondeful ministry.

Joy Singers –2nd through 6th grades — will practice on Wednesdays from 5:30 until 6:00 pm. Please strongly encourage your child to participate in this wonderful ministry.

    Joy Singers (2nd - 6th Grades)

The Joy Singers will practice from 5:30-6:00 pm each Wednesday. Please strongly encourage your child to participate in this wonderful ministry.

    Elementary Children (1st-5th Grades)

Elementary children will dismiss from the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm with Miranda. They will go to the Berean Sunday School Class (upstairs in the GYM building) and enjoy games, prayer and a lesson. They will be studying the Old Testament, looking at a brief overview. Each week the kids will have scripture memory and can earn points. They will remain in the class until a parent picks them up.

    Kindergarten Children (3-5 years old)

Kindergarten children will need to be taken downstairs to the Kindergarten classroom where Ms. Kay and Mrs. Julie will teach them.

    Nursery (Birth - 2 years old)

The Nursery little ones will need to be taken downstairs to the Nursery where Brianne Lynch and Tracey Ammons will watch over them. Pagers are available.

    Please pick up your children in a timely fashion after the Adult Program!

Sunday School Classes for Children

Please be sure to pray for those who teach our children and thank them for their dedication!

    Nursery - Birth - Age 2 (This class is located under the Sanctuary in the Nursery Hall.)

Teacher: Brianne Lynch and volunteers.

After Sunday School, these children remain in the Nursery until picked up by parents after worship.

    Beginners - 2 and 3 year old Children (located between Nursery and Kindergarten)

Teacher: Marcia Barron

After Sunday School, these children will remain in the Beginners Sunday School Class until Extended Learning starts unless you pick them up for church.

    Kindergarten - 4 year old - K5 Children (located at the end of the Nursery Hall)

Teachers: Nancy Feemster, Kay Hamilton, Susan Whitehead

After Sunday School, these children need to be picked up and taken to Worship (11 am). They are able to come back to Extended Learning after the Children’s Sermon (11 am).

    Primary - 1st Grade Children (located under the Sanctuary, across from Children’s Choir)

Teachers: Mary Andrews, Steve and Pam Hand, Casey Page, Katie Skelton

After Sunday School, these children need to be picked up and taken to Worship. We recommend children at this age sit with their parents for the entire Worship Service.

    Middler - 2nd and 3rd Grade Children (located upstairs in Gym building)

Teacher: Ann Nickles

After Sunday School these children need to be picked up and taken to Worship unless you make other arrangements with the teacher. We recommend children at this age sit with their parents the entire Worship Service.

    Junior - 4th and 5th Grade Children ( located upstairs in the GYM building)
